Spanish Programs

The Spanish undergraduate program focuses strongly, although not exclusively, on Latin America. In the Spanish major at UL Lafayette, we focus on fluency in the Spanish language, along with studying the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries and people.

We also offer a Spanish minor, which is a fantastic addition for any student's major if you want to learn about new cultures and pursue career opportunities around the globe. The Latin American Studies minor is an interdisciplinary program that lets you choose courses from across departments that focus on the history, cultures, and current events of Latin America.
