The Language Resource Center (LRC) is available to all language learners at UL. You can drop by the LRC to meet up with graduate assistants and other students for conversation practice, helpful hints, learning strategies, study help, or just to have some fun with people who share your interest in language.
Graduate teaching assistants in French and Francophone Studies staff the lab and are available to help with one-on-one tutoring or group tutoring. You can drop by for help or make an appointment. Occasionally, there is a GA who can help with Spanish, but you would need to check before counting on it.
Tutoring and Study Room
The tables and chairs of the first room in the LRC provide a space for tutoring, group meetings, and other activities, including the weekly 1-credit lab sections (FREN 112 and FREN 211). You can also use the space for showing movies.
Computer Lab for Language Students
The STEP lab in the second room of the LRC contains a number of computer stations that any language student may use. Students can use them to access online homework assignments, listening homework assignments, and other language resources. Advanced students may use the lab to write papers and get help from the staff.
