Cajun & Creole Studies Minor Requirements
The minor consists of a minimum of 18 credit hours (generally 6 courses) in an approved area. At least 6 hours must be completed at the 300 or 400 level.
See the list of Approved Courses for the Minor in Cajun and Creole Studies.
As you plan your minor in Cajun and Creole Studies, please note that only 42 hours in a single discipline can count toward graduation. Thus, a French major (33 hours in French) may count 9 additional hours in French towards this minor. The remaining hours should be taken in other disciplines. Similarly, a History major with 33 hours in History may apply at most 9 additional hours in History toward the minor in Cajun and Creole Studies, and should take the remaining hours in other disciplines.
