Spanish Minor Courses
The Spanish minor consists of 18 credit hours, of which at least 6 must be at the 300/400 level. Spanish 101 cannot be counted toward the Spanish minor.
For non-native speakers, the minor has four required courses: Spanish 102, 201, 202, 316, and two electives. These are usually chosen from among the 300 level courses: Spanish 302, 310, 320, 330, 332, 340. 400 level courses may be chosen as well, although we recommend completing several courses at the 300 level before moving higher.
Native speakers must begin the minor at the 300 level. Spanish 316 (advanced conversation), required of minors, is open to native speakers and they are welcome in it; talk to a faculty member in Spanish if you have questions about this.
