Spanish student highlights Spring 2017

Spanish major Rachel JORDAN has won a tuition scholarship from the University of Guadalajara (Universidad de Guadalajara) to spend six weeks this summer on an immersion program in Zapopán and Puerto Vallarta (Jalisco), Mexico.

Esteban QUISPE is the outstanding graduate from the Department of Modern Languages in Spring 2017, with a senior project on Peruvian poet César Moro.

Cristián RIVERA '15 is graduating with an M.S. in Psychology from UL. He will enter the Ph.D. program in Spanish and Portuguese at Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ), in the fall, where he will be studying bilingualism and second language acquisition.

Flor HOLLIER '13 has accepted a permanent teaching position in the Spanish immersion program at Southside High School, being inaugurated this fall.
